Today we had the chance to visit a non-profit organization "Οικογένεια και Παιδί" (Family and Child) that constitutes a perfect example of what selflessness & dedication can achieve.
The organization was founded in August 2012 and its primary aim is to assist people in need by providing them with economic, social and psychological support. Their role is particularly important especially if one takes into account that in the crisis-stricken Greece more and more people face unemployment and live on the edge of poverty. However, we must not assume that "Family and Child" only targets unemployed people; the services that the organization has to offer benefit all kinds of individuals ranging from refugees to single parents. There is in other words, no discrimination and the workers there really strive to help our fellow citizens any way that they can. What I personally saw in our visit to the organization was a bunch of active individuals who are committed to their cause and above all invest their mind & soul in what they do.
