Project Description

In 2011 the British Council and Open Society Institute organised a conference in Budapest on “Youth and Extremism”. The conference was mostly theoretical and presented case studies for the UK and Central Europe about the issues of extremism which affect young people as both exponents and victims.

This 2020 Education project is intended as a follow up to this conference, but it focuses on identifying and showcasing examples of youth and community projects which prevent or act against extremism,

Aiming to promote best practise and develop practical approaches for young people themselves to make an impact.

The 3 countries involved in this project are UK, Hungary and Greece.
